1. Spirit Week February 5th - 9th -

Students in Preschool-12th grade are invited to dress up on the following days free of charge to show their Mustang Pride! Please keep in mind that if you choose not to dress up you need to be in normal school uniform that day.


*Monday, February 5th - Military Pride Day (dress up in camo or something patriotic)

*Tuesday, February 6th - Comfy Day (dress in your comfiest clothes)

*Wednesday, February 7th - Wacky Wednesday (dress wacky from head to toe)

*Thursday, February 8th - Hat Day (wear your favorite hat)

*Friday, February 9th - Merritt Spirit Day (dress in your blue and white!)

Middle School

Monday: backwards day (wear your clothes backwards)

Tuesday: Squad day (you and your squad dress alike/themed)

Wednesday: Superhero Day (dress as your favorite superhero, or make your own!)

Thursday: Scrabble Day (Wear only ONE letter, and plan to make as many words as possible with your classmates)

Friday: Class Color Day

High School

Monday - warm and cozy day - pj day

Tuesday- snow buddies - twin day

Wednesday- snow storm - white out

Thursday- a day at the lodge - hats, scarves, sweaters

Friday- Merritt spirit day

2. NJHS Bake Sale!

The National Junior Honor Society is planning a bakesale for Friday, February 2 to benefit a Merritt Academy family who recently experienced a house fire. Baked goods will be sold during school lunches. All treats will cost $1.00, and additional donations will also be accepted.

MSBOA Middle School District Band Festival - Saturday, March 3rd @ Roseville Middle School - Performance at 9:25am

MSBOA High School District Band Festival - Saturday, March 10th @ Dakota High School - Performance at 9:25am


The National Honor Society will be hosting a Food Drive for families in need. Acceptable donations include: canned/non-perishable food items, toiletries, as well as paper products (paper plates, silverware, cups, paper towels, toilet paper, etc). Preschool to 5th grade will give their donations to their teacher. Middle and High School students will turn in their donations to their first hour teacher, and NHS will count and collect the boxes daily. The classes that donate the most items will receive a reward. Donations will be accepted starting Monday, January 22nd, through Friday February 2nd.

  • K-2: Free Popcorn Friday
  • 3-5: Free Popcorn Friday
  • 6-8: Donut Party
  • 9-12: Donut Party

5. NWEA Parent Reports

The second round of NWEA testing is wrapping up and parent reports will be sent home by the end of the week.
