1. PAID Dress Down Day to benefit our Cheerleading Program- Monday, November 19th!

A paid dress down day will be taking place on Monday, November 19th to benefit our cheerleading program and their endeavor to purchase new uniforms. Anyone that wants to participate and dress down on this day will need to bring a $1.00. 

2. School Cancellations

In the event that administration deems it necessary to close school due to snow, ice, extreme cold, or other emergencies notification will be made through the In Touch notification system. This message will be a recorded message from Mr. Seiferlein sent to the contact information that you have provided in Powerschool.

Notification will also be made on the following radio and television stations as soon as possible indicating that Merritt Academy in New Haven will be closed. Usually, but not always, if surrounding schools are closed due to weather emergencies, we will also be closed. Every attempt will be made to report cancellations by 6:00 a.m. We appreciate your support as these decisions are sometimes very difficult to make.

3. Cards for a Cause Fundraiser

Want to help families in need this holiday season? Please help raise money for the Merritt Academy Giving Tree by participating in the Cards for a Cause Fundraiser going on now through Monday, November 19th. Whichever class sells the most card boxes will earn a pizza, ice cream, & movie extravaganza!

***For middle school this will be your 2nd hour class. ***For high school students this will be your grade level.

Some Important information you need to know:

*Boxes cost $30 - Which Includes 30 cards. So that's only $1 per card!

*Order forms are due November 19th!

*Examples of the card boxes are located in the office.

4. Robotics Newsletter Edition 1

Please read the exciting news about our Cyberstangs and all the happenings with them! The newsletter is attached!

5. Haven Place Help Needed

The tutoring program at Haven Place has exploded, they are finding that they have to turn away students due to not having enough tutors. They are looking for adults and students to volunteer at Haven Place on Tuesday's and Wednesday's from 3pm to 5pm to help students with reading and math. Attached is a list of their community service opportunities
