1. Parent/Teacher Conferences October 10th and 11th

Conferences are next Thursday and Friday from 3:30 to 6:30. Please in grades K-5 please contact your child's teacher if you haven't already signed up for a conference time. In grades 6-12 you can pick up your child's progress report in the office and then conferences are on a walk-in basis on these days.

2. Mini Mustang Cheerleading Grades K-5

Please read the attachment for further information on the cheerleading camp Ms. D'Agostin is having for the elementary girls! 

3. Picture Day is Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is picture day at Merritt Academy. Picture packages were sent home last week. We do have extra copies of these packages available in the office. With spirit week continuing tomorrow please make sure your child follows the guidelines tomorrow for their spirit day which involves at least bringing their uniform shirt if not wearing it as part of their buildings' spirit day.

4. Campus-wide Spirit Week September 30th-October 4th

Homecoming/spirit week continues this week! Below is more information about the K-8 dress-down spirit days:

5. Homecoming Dances Saturday, October 5th

Middle School 5:30-7:30

The middle school homecoming dance will be held from 5:30-7:30 on Saturday October 5 in the cafeteria. Tickets will be sold for $10. Mrs. Palmer will collect all ticket money during her classes. Students will have the opportunity to buy tickets for the dance starting Monday September 30. Students that purchase their tickets by Friday October 4 will receive a slice of pizza and a pop with the ticket. Tickets will also be available at the door on Saturday. The price is still $10, however pizza and pop will be an additional charge.

We hope that your student partakes in these events and has an enjoyable homecoming experience. Please feel free to email, call, or stop in with any questions.

High School 8:00-10:00

High School Cost: $15 in advance, $20 at the door

Ticket sales will take place from October 1 through October 4 during lunch. Guest Passes due Thursday to Ms. Lach 

6. TRG Color Run on Belle Isle

The 3rd Annual TRG Color Run is this Saturday, October 5th on Belle Isle. The money raised is split 50/50 between St. Jude's and Merritt Academy. The cost is $20/person but will increase next week.

7. Fall Festival Spooky Hallway Items Wanted

This year's trunk or treat and fall festival is on Friday, October 25th from 6:30-8:00. In order to make the spooky hallway the best it can be our parent group helping run this years event is asking for items to be used for the spooky hallway. These items will be used at the event and will be returned to you on the following Monday. If you have something you think would be good to use for the pre k through 5th grade students to help enhance the spooky hallway please send an e mail to:
