January

  • 18th- No School Face to Face or Virtual MLK Day
  • 22nd- Early Dismissal Records Day/End of First Semester
  • 25th- Board Meeting 8:00 a.m. 

1.  Upcoming Dates January 18th and January 22nd

On Monday, January 18th there will be no school for both our in person  and virtual students in order to celebrate Martin Luther King's legacy.

Also, there is a ½ day of school for records day on Friday, January 22nd with a noon dismissal. There will be no lunch provided on this day. There is a bus schedule attached to this e mail of drop off times for the students riding the bus that day.

There will be latchkey available on this day until 6:00 p.m.

2.  Parent Teacher Conference Dates

The second round of parent/teacher conference dates will be Thursday, February 25th from 3:30-6:00 and Friday, February 26th from 1:00-3:00. More information on how we are going to conduct these conferences will be provided moving forward, but will include both teacher and parent requested conferences.  

3.  Merritt Academy High School Sports are Back

WINTER SPORTS are starting this coming Saturday Jan 16th. Practice & game schedules are attached to this email. Due to the delays caused by the pandemic we are only able to offer high school sports this winter. We will be offering all of our elementary and middle school sports next year. This year we could not offer MS sports due to a lack of available opponents and a lack of gym time to get our younger teams in. We are excited to be able to get our high school teams going, and return to a little bit of normalcy.
